THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.

CBD is the second most prevalent cannabinoid and is primarily produced by hemp plants and at lower amounts in cannabis. CBD has soared in popularity due to its non-psychoactive effects.

Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis that contribute to each strain's unique flavor and aroma. Total terpenes represents the combined concentration of all terpene compounds detected in the product, which may influence the overall experience through the entourage effect.

Edibles are created either by infusing cooking oil or butter with cannabis extract, or by mixing extract directly into other ingredients. Because edibles are digested and absorbed by your stomach and liver, the activation is often longer than other consumption methods, taking on average 45 minutes, and sometimes up to 2 hours. It is important to start low and slow when consuming edibles so you don't over do it. Take extra caution to ensure edibles are out of the reach of children.

dreamt is the award-winning cannabis sleep aid that Vice named “one of the year’s most helpful innovations.”

dreamt was founded by Carolina Vazquez Mitchell, a nationally-recognized cannabis scientist and product developer who has had chronic sleep problems throughout her life.

After nothing could help her fall asleep and stay asleep, Carolina developed a formulation combining cannabinoids, terpenes and other common sleep supplements. It worked. After several rounds of blind studies and refinement, that formulation would become dreamt.

Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, Carolina came to the US to study for her PhD in Chemistry in 2009, and has developed more than 60 cannabis products to date. She has been a featured cannabis science expert in Rolling Stone and Mg Magazine, and was named one of Dope Magazine’s “Outstanding Women in Cannabis.”
